Background

Technical projects generate a large amount of important knowledge: operating instructions, data sources, interfaces, processing steps, dependencies and project-specific settings. This information is often spread across emails, meeting notes, files and source code. After handover, users and new team members may therefore struggle to understand or maintain the solution.

Documentation can also become fragile when it depends on external pages or loosely connected files that may later be moved or removed.

Defined solution

Project knowledge is consolidated into one maintained source and delivered in two coordinated formats. A standalone HTML document provides an accessible visual reference in the browser. A structured Markdown document provides a compact, machine-readable knowledge base for a project chatbot or another AI-supported knowledge system.

Both formats are generated from the same approved information. They cover the intended audience separately: practical workflows and expected behaviour for users, and architecture, configuration, data flows, operation and known limitations for technical teams. Images and supporting assets are included so that the documentation remains usable independently.

Outcome & value

The customer receives a reliable handover rather than a collection of disconnected notes. Day-to-day use, troubleshooting and later changes become easier because decisions, assumptions and technical relationships remain visible. The two formats support both human reading and structured retrieval without maintaining duplicate content.

Technical implementation

Numbered Markdown source files form the editable source of truth. A validated build process creates the standalone HTML website and the consolidated chatbot document. Relative links and bundled assets keep the output portable and durable.
